Syria And Nukes

Postby CHUQ on Mon Sep 17, 2007 4:03 am

Have you noiticed that if you want to get the people's support on an action, then the word nukes is used--1st Iraq War, 2nd Iraq War, Iran and now Syria. Are they innocent of the charges, probably not, but I hjust find it interesting that it only comes out when a justification is needed.

DAMASCUS: An official Syrian daily warned on Sunday that US ‘lies’ over nuclear cooperation with North Korea could serve as a pretext for an attack on Syria following an Israeli violation of its airspace.

”Members of the choir have started up a new song that is full of hostility, this time about Syrian-Korean nuclear cooperation,” Ath-Thawra said.

“This is a big lie... Syria is used to having to put up with such lies.”

The Washington Post reported on last Thursday that N Korea may be helping Syria build some kind of nuclear facility, citing unnamed intelligence sources. Israel’s secret service had relayed the information to the US government, which the Post described as “dramatic.”

That's a wild accusation without have any evidence. Some kind? :roll:

Let see the US is helping Egypt, Jordan, et al with their nuke program, but that somehow is for good not evil. SH*T! They can spin anything into a nuke threat.

i remember when us made a conference showing the photos of a building from inside and saying that it is a nuclear reactor, then when Syrian minister of exterior saw the images, he said to the news, how exactly does that prove this is a Syrian nuclear reactor, how does that exactly prove that this building is even in Syria.

he has a point, economically, they can not even stand build a reactor for power supply, and based on what US government said, North Korea is helping them like they are helping many other countries, then why US government is doing nothing to North Korea ??, US talked much about N.K.'s threat and did nothing about it.

But wait, osama bin laden beat Norad in 11 sept, then someone provided him with the means, that someone or those ppl who helped bin laden from inside USA are not caught till now.

Let's see, USA invaded Afghanistan but did not catch bin laden till now, then accused Iraq for having nuclear capabilities which UN did not find, neither did USA till now, oh, and the operation was called Iraqi Freedom, and i can not see any Freedom about it.

So, what makes this one different than the past ones, even Iran, they might be building reactors for nuclear weapons and they might be building reactors for power supply, i do not know how can u be sure, but for sure war is not the solution.

The only common thing i can see in all these wars, civilians are dying for no reason, USA's youth are dying for no reason, and all those countries have alot of oil and building infrastructure contracts after USA's airforce destroyed most of it, except Iraq's ministry of petroleum, somehow it is among the few buildings still standing.

I was wondering, why USA's gov. did not react against North Korea till now, then i noticed that they do not have much oil.

How true. Real "threats" are only interesting if profit is (at least) possible. Noth Korea has nothing interesting for the US, but Syria is full of oil. It's also a great target since the army is right next door. :?

How intersting that the USA are not scared of Israel. It's now the 3rd (maybe 4th) in the list of "number of nuklear weapons" in the world. It has officially at least 200. But Iran (with maybe one) that's the danger! Nothing compared to Syria though. Syria has none, but is planing! Let's run for our lives!

Why does the US attack so called "threats"? Maybe try diplomacy for a change.

Edit:

I checked on the nuklear weapons list:

USA => 10.240 (7.200)
Russia => 8.400 (6.000)
Great Britain => 200 (185)
France => 385 (195)
China => 400

Israel => 75 - 400
India => up to 150
Pakistan => up to 75

The brackets show the nuklear weapons ready for launch.
