What do you think of this plan?
DES MOINES — Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden rolled out a health care plan Tuesday that would expand access to health insurance and help pay the costs of catastrophic care.
Biden, a U.S. senator from Delaware, outlined his ideas on the campus of Des Moines University, a medical school in Iowa’s capital.
His plan would help insure the 9 million children now without coverage by expanding the current State Children’s Health Insurance Program, also known as SCHIP.
“I don’t know of any value that is more cherished by the American people than protecting our children,” Biden said.
