What's For Supper?

Postby AlicornsPrayer on Sun Feb 24, 2008 2:11 pm

One of the things I've noticed in my time on the internet, is that one thing that brings people together, is a good meal or discussing what types of meals they enjoy cooking. So, the 'What's For Supper' thread has been a favorite 'let your hair down and hang' conversation starter in the sites I frequent.

Here's the place to share what's being cooked in your kitchen or you're enjoying at your favorite restruants. I'll start it off with what I'm cooking up in my kitchen today for supper...Feel free to pull up a chair at my table...Just bring extra wipes and a big appetite. LOL!

BBQ-ed Country Style Ribs
Roasted Corn on the Cob
German Potatoe Salad
Creamy Cole Slaw
Fresh Fruit Salad w/Home-made White Chocolate Macadamia Cookies
Grilled French Bread
Iced Raspberry Tea

I love barbeque ribs. My mom makes them everytime I come home and they are delicious, worth the drive. I'm going to have my wife makes some for me too when she gets here. I like eating with my hands too, makes me feel like a man. :)

ROTFLMAOL!!! I'm a southern red neck myself, so finger foods are always enjoyed. I remember the first time I ate bbq at my ex's mother's house...She thought I was uncivilized cause I picked the bbq-ed ribs with my hands and didn't use the knife and fork on them. LOL!

Yep...But not as ridiculous as eating a bannana with a knife and fork...Which is how she ate hers. Even friend chicken ment silverware.

Needless to say, she didn't invite me over too often to eat supper with them...I was too much of a heathen at the table for her. ROTFLMAOL!

OMG ... totally ridiculous. I used to have a ton of fun people watching at rib joints ... out here in LALA land there are a bunch of yuppie types and it's hysterical to watch them try and eat without getting messy.

For us, tonight was a delivery night ... hubby had an Asian Chicken Salad and I had a Chicken Caesar Salad. :D

well then, throw some plastic on the walls and bring on them ribs honey!!!! finger food? oh my-----i'm a big afficianado of mopping up the sauce with some soft fresh bread----leaves a clean plate--easier to wash, needs less water, soap, etc---the green way to go, dontcha know.....my fave cocktail these daze is a fresh homemade lemonade, ice of course, and a generous dollop or two of raspberry vodka---ABSOLUTly delicioso!!!!
